Project Management
The BS-ERA.NET management structure is composed of the Steering Board, the Executive Board, Advisory Board and the Managing Agency.
The Steering Board is in charge of the strategic management. It consists of one representative of each project partner.
The Executive Board is responsible for the executive management of BS-ERA.NET and for the implementation of the strategic decisions of the Steering Board. It is composed of the Project Coordinator, the Project Manager and the Work package leaders.
The Advisory Board (AB) will consist of highly qualified external experts covering areas relevant to S&T in the Black Sea Region.
The Managing Agency is responsible for the continuous monitoring of the project.

MANDATE OF THE ADVISORY BOARD (AB)
The Advisory Board (AB) will consist of highly qualified external experts covering areas relevant to S&T in the Black Sea Region. The aim of the AB will be to:
Follow the activities of the BS-ERA.NET and propose actions aiming at optimum achievement of its objectives.
Provide advice concerning the integration of the BS-ERA.NET activities into the S&T activities of the BS region to further contribute in the building of a regional S&T community linked to the European Research Area.
Reflect on options concerning cross-sector policy coordination in order to embed S&T in overall development perspectives of the BS region (S&T for development).
Assist the process of demand-driven priority setting for the Pilot Joint Call.
Deliver expertise for developing accompanying measures appropriate to the Pilot Joint Call and the "Black Sea Regional Research Programme".
Provide targeted advice, on demand of WP Leaders/ Project Coordinator, if needed.
Following this profile, expertise is needed among others as regards to:
S&T as well as economic and social development processes in the BS region;
The European Research Area and European Neighbourhood Policy;
National/regional S&T policy development and implementation;
Management skills regarding complex projects and transnational S&T programmes;
Good practice from other regional initiatives (such as Mediterranean, Baltic).
The AB is foreseen to meet once a year during the lifetime of the project, in conjunction with the Steering Board meeting. If necessary and under the precondition that this will be decided by the Steering Board, AB members may be called to further support the implementation of the project through the electronic communication and/or additional meetings.
